Institute of Modern Technologies (IMTECH) is an educational institution established in Sharjah in the year 2007 with the approval of the Government of United Arab Emirates. IMTECH has been imparting various tuition programmes for the benefit of the native and expatriate students residing in and around Sharjah.
IMTECH, housed in a posh and prime locality of Sharjah, has spacious lecture halls, well-built library, modern computer lab with 24-hour internet facility besides having a team of qualified and experienced faculty drawn from various nationalities.
IMTECH is a partner institution of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the largest Open University and second largest University in the world, for conducting tuition for under-graduate and post-graduate programmes. IGNOU serves the educational aspirations of nearly 2 million students in India and 35 other countries through 21 Schools of Study and an elaborate network of 59 regional centers, more than 2300 Learner Support Centers and around 52 overseas centers. As of now, 10% of all students enrolled in higher education in India are enrolled with IGNOU. Its Certificates are recognised by all the members of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
As a world leader in distance education, it was conferred the Centre of Excellence Award in Distance Education in 1993 and the Award of Excellence for Distance Education Materials in 1999 by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Canada. It also has the unique privilege of hosting the Secretariats of SAARC Consortium of Open Distance Learning (SACODL) approved by Heads of Govts. of SAARC Nations and Global Mega Universities Network (GMUNET) initially promoted by UNESCO.
IMTECH is an affiliated Study Centre of the renowned Indian State University, viz. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (M.S. University), Tamil Nadu for conducting tuition for under-graduate and post-graduate programmes through its Directorate of Distance & Continuing Education (DD&CE). M.S. University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India with B++ grade. The Directorate of Distance & Continuing Education has been approved by Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi.
IMTECH is also offering an Integrated Classroom Course for XI & XII students. This is a comprehensive course which will take care of the entire requirement for XI & XII preparation as well as Engineering Entrance Exam preparation for IIT JEE, AIEEE, BITSAT and various State level Engineering Exams.
